I’m so sorry I am so behind on socials and messages! Im trying to catch back up tonight 🖤

As some of you are aware we have very poorly dog in hospital and so I thank you this week for your patience if you’ve been in the salon during times when I’ve had to take phone calls from vets ❤️‍🩹

My books have just opened until October… yes I’ve got myself organised and arranged all my time off up to this point! I’m not taking much time off this year so hopefully it’s not going to impact to much see below 👇 🖤

~ Wed 16th April - Tues 22nd April

Summer Holiday Closure
~ Mon 4th August - Mon 18th August.
I will also be off every Monday & Tuesday throughout the kids 6 weeks holiday too..

Polite little reminder that the co op opposite me is being refurbished and the parking is really limited around the area due to the van/lorry delivery’s.. please allow extra time if you need to 🖤

There are also no big colour slots until week commencing
1st April
•
There is 1 slot Friday 28th March @1pm for either Roots or half head foils , cut & Blowdry!

Happy Monday ~ We are back! How I’ve missed you all! 🫶 Not fully finished but almost there!
•
Long post incoming….
•
Probably the most stressful 2 weeks we’ve had to face … everything that could have gone wrong probably did..and at one point I did question whether we would be back open this week!
•
We have some MASSIVE thank yous to say! I mean it when I say we (mainly Jon 😂) couldn’t have done this without you guys and we will forever be grateful!
•
Firstly Dan incredible guy gave up his weekends and took time off work to really help us out!! 🖤
•
Dru for helping out with flooring
•
Sash for his painting skills
•
Matt for crawling through the smallest basement to wire our showers 🙈
•
Simon for moving all the furniture across and giving up 2 evening!
•
My poor neighbours for the noise they have had to put up with!
•
The girls that hung out with Ruby this weekend (you know who you are) whilst we were working 12 hours to get back open!
•
Last but not least Jon - 2 weeks of 12 hour days he was glad to go back to work today and he’s told me to never ask for a refurb again! 😅

Please remember we are closed until 3rd March as we under go a little refurbishment (little is probably not the way Jon would put it)

Anyway! Lots of exciting changes… if you hear lots of noise and shouting I promise it’s for a good cause….
•
2 men and 3 really long days gutting, new electric points installed ready for plastering to commence tomorrow…. 🫶 The poor men are broken! 6 months in the planning and things never quite go to plan do they? The neighbours probably hate us…. 😅

CLOSED FOR REFURBISHMENT 🔨

That’s it we’ve closed our doors for 2 weeks, thank you for your patience over the last few weeks while we started to make changes around the place 🫶

It is a very exciting time for us here… 8.5 years of owning The Retreat and we’ve finally taken the plunge to fully renovate the salon. When I say fully renovate we are ripping the whole place out and giving you a brand new salon!!!!
•
When we took on the salon we never knew how supportive existing clients would be & how much local residents would get behind our little salon and welcome us into their community!
•
We can only say THANKYOU - we hope you will love the new Retreat….. 🫶

Price Increase March 1st 2025 🫶

I do hate putting these posts up, but I’m afraid it’s a thing that has to happen… Stock increases , general overheads are effecting everyone in many different ways.
•
Believe me when I say I’ve been delaying it for as long as possible - it will roughly equate to 10% increase across every service offered.
•
I am forever grateful for everyone that supports the business and walks through the doors so thank you ❤️
